Andy for Model Number MDB6601AWB The only button that seems to work when pushed is the insta wash. All others appear to do nothing. How do I know the control panel is my problem?
Answer Hello Andy. It sounds like the control panel 6-919822 is bad on the unit. There should be a tech sheet behind the toe panel to help you check the ribbon cable. When removed, if you test across J1 pins 9 and 6, press the start button and the contact should close. If not, replace the control panel. Also, make sure the ribbon cable is clean and dry with no moisture. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
