For Whirlpool Panel- Con (Part Number: OEM13093863)

Melissa for Model Number MDB6601AWW

Hello, I seen where white was discontinued for this dishwasher (6-919824). The only option it gives is to replace with 6-919822 which is black. So, my question is I got part 6-919845 so it wouldn't be such a bad clash. Well that part doesn't have tough scrub button. I can live without tough scrub, just wanted to get someone else's opinion on if that would be ok to run like that. Already ran a load and all cycles work just wasn't sure if it would present a fire hazard or if it will just be a empty slot where the ribbon plugs in.

Melissa, As long as there were no loose electrical wires left loose or hanging inside the door panel, then it should be a matter of fewer/missing tracers on the key pad ribbon. The control boards are very similar but there are new or re routed circuits on the board. We're pretty sure you will loose a few selections and display LEDs, but the dishwasher should work satisfactorily in most cases.

Bert, The issue with the lights coming on then going back out would more likely be caused by a faulty control panel rather than the control board.

Jake, The most likely cause for the one cycle not to come up is the control panel of the unit being faulty. To replace you would need to turn off the power and remove the screws from the inner door liner. Lift the inner door liner then remove all the parts from the old control panel and install the new one.

John, The ribbon harness would just slide straight into the connector on the control board.
