Eric for Model Number mdbh945aww My touch panel start/stop button went out. After spending $120 for the repair man to take 2 minutes to tell me its broke, I'm wondering how easy is it to fix? He told me with parts/labor I should buy a new one. How difficult is it to replace the control panel?
Answer Hello Eric. These are not hard to change. First disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws holding the inner door panel in place. Remove the inner door panel and the cover over the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board, and remove the control board housing from the door. Then remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Reinstall in reverse order. Make sure the ribbon cable is seated properly on the control board. Hope this helps. Read More...
