John for Model Number nfw7200tw What does the Pcb mems sensor do.I had a repair guy out to look at my washer for knocking noise during the high speed spin cycle.They replaced the shocks on my machine about three months ago.Took care of problem for about a month or so knocking noise came back.Now he thinks it is the control board.Could it be a bad shock? Or the PCB mems sensor no codes are coming up on display.
Answer John, in short, the "mems" sensor acts as an "off balanced" load system. Instead of the washer continuing to spin,based on motor torque, if there is enough movement in the cabinet,in the event of an off balance load, it will reduce speed, and attempt to re balance itself. The control board or sensor is not likely the issue. There is a remote possibility that the control board or mems sensor is bad, but very remote. it's most likeley a shock, and possibly a loose or broken spin basket support arm. Read More...
