Answer Hello Manuel, This design should operate normally without the filter in place. Be aware though, if the water pressure to the refrigerator from the RO system is below 40 P.S.I., the water valves will not close properly and you may experience instances of overfilling of hte icemaker and the water running too long after the water dispense switch has been released.
