Keith Rutherford for Model Number WRF767SDHZ Just purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator with the ice makers. The filter for this model runs around $50. I have an RO unit in my house which I used with the previous frig and all was fine. I would like not to use this filter which I have installed just to get water and ice working. Is there a bypass plug for this model (WRF767SDHZ) or will it auto bypass as you stated in another answer you gave? Or, will I have to use a filter always? Thank You, Keith
Answer Keith, if you remove the water filter and you can still get water to dispense through the front door dispenser, then it has a built-in by pass, if it won't,, then you will have to leave the filter installed, there is not a by-pass for this model.
