Dana for Model Number WRF757SDHZ00 I have a Reverse Osmosis system and really don't need the filter in my refrigerator. Leaving the filter in restricts the flow, taking it out helps. If I leave it out there is a message on the screen saying replace the filter. Is there a plug for this unit so it tricks the system so the message goes away or is there a way to clear message?
Answer Hello Dana, According to the manufacturer, no bypass plug is needed for this filter housing to pass water normally. The replace filter light should be turned off in the following manner as per the manufacturer: Press OPTIONS on the control panel to launch the Options menu. Press OPTIONS, under Filter Status, again to display the percentage of filter life remaining (from 99% to 0%). Press ICE/ WATER, under Back, to return to the Normal screen. The water filter status lights will help you know when to change your water filter. ORDER FILTER (yellow) - it is almost time to change the water filter. While you are dispensing water, “Order Filter” will blink seven times and sound an alert tone three times. REPLACE FILTER (red) - Replace the water filter. While you are dispensing water, “Replace Filter” will blink seven times and an alert tone will sound three times. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 4, 2020
