Larry for Model Number Whirlpool Model:WRX986SIHV00 I recently had RO installed. When I remove the water filter the change water filter light stays on. How do I get the light to turn off? I'm unable to find a bypass plug for the EveryDrop 2 filter.
Answer Larry, the manufacturer does not show a bypass plug for your model. The filter indicator light will illuminate showing that a filter is not installed or that it is time to change the filter. As the filter has been removed, the control will continue to illuminate showing that there is not one installed in the housing.
