Daniel H. for Model Number WRX735SDBM04 My Whirlpool Refrigerator stopped dispensing water and making ice. The repairman said to install a bypass cap since we have a reverse osmosis system in the house. After installing the bypass cap only the ice maker works, but the drinking water will not dispense. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Answer Hello Daniel, The water pressure from an RO system can decrease water pressure to about 20 PSI. This is not enough water pressure to facilitate the normal operation of the water valve on the unit. The manufacturer recommends 50 to 90 PSI for normal operation to occur. Read More...
