Philv for Model Number kuic15prts4 My drain pump pn 2208534 died and I got a 1901a replacement. It doesn't fit. Mounting bracket on bottom is the same but there are too many wires and copper tubing in the way to slide it in. The rear of the 1901a is to tall and wide, compared to the 2208534. Do I dare try to rearrange the tubing and wiring and cram it in, or do I need to find the older pn?
Answer Phil, The 1901A drain pump kit is the "only" option, at this point. Installing it in a 15" ice maker is a bit daunting, but doable. Be very careful moving the refrigerant tubes and wire harness, if or when you have to make room for the pump assembly. When you're set and ready, you'll find tilting and twisting the pump assembly will make it a bit easier to get into the opening and set in the mounting bracket on the base of the machine. The basic installation instructions can then be followed from there on out. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 14, 2016
