Douglas November 05, 2022 for Model Number WUI75X15HZ00 I had an old Whirlpool ice machine that finally gave out. The new ice machine did not come with a drain pump. I took the old drain pump, a 1901A, out and put it in my new Whirlpool ice machine. It drains fine but doesn't always want to cut off and runs making a high-pitch gurgling noise. It goes on for a minute and then stops. Any ideas?
Barry M September 05, 2022 for Model Number GI15PDXZS1, with W10825875 condensate pump. The machine will drain just fine for a while, the it fails to drain and water will back up into ice bin and run out when not expecting it to do so. Shouldn’t the condensate pump automatically shut the ice machine OFF when it fails to drain?
1 Answer Barry M, Check to be sure the unit is wired or plugged in through the drain pump, then check the operation of the pump. If wired in correctly it sounds like the switch in the pump has failed. Read More...

I now realize that the previous owner didn't have a drain pump in this machine and I need one for my installation. The manual recommends Drain Pump kit Part Number 1901A, which is very expensive. My old Kitchenaid ice machine has a Beckett drain pump (DMD400AWP) that is perfectly functional. Can this pump be used in the newer ice machine?

The pump connects to a drain line with a female brass coupling and plastic barbed fitting. Does anyone know what size is the coupling and part number) and what is the part number for the plastic fitting that screws into the coupling and slides into the drain hose? The plastic fitting is barbed on one end and threaded male on the other end.
