Sheryl P. for Model Number MAV5057aww My water runs underneath the washer and into the kitchen also the gear case is making a grinding noise.
Answer Sheryl, Have you checked the drain pipe for a slow drain/backup yet, that could be a source of your leak. Based on your post, I would reccomend you remove the front panel of the washer( insert a flat bladed tool, putty knife in the seam between the top and front panel, approximately 3 inches in from the corner, press in on the tool and lift up on the top. lift up and out at the top of the front panel to release it from the bottom clips. Reposition the top proper and start the washer in a cycle. DO NOT REACH INTO THE WASHER WHILE IT IS RUNNING. I think you may find water leaking from the bottom center of the tub assembly, if so you will need W10219156 tubseal/bearing assembly, which would account for the lesak and the noise.
