Don for Model Number MAV5000AWW I'm afraid I may have to replace the water pump and the belt however, before I order the parts I have some questions: 1. In the schematic diagram I see a "water valve" but I believe that controls the incoming cold and hot water. What keeps the water in the tub from draining during the wash or rinse cycles. I saw a plastic pipe from the tub to the pump and from the pump out to drain but I don't see any valve. 2. To replace the pump I may have to remove the front panel. How do I remove the front panel?
Answer Hello Don. The water valve is the water inlet that fills the machine. There is not a water valve for the pump itself. When the washer goes into a drain, the direction of the motor reverses which activates the pump. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, March 23, 2011
