Brian for Model Number mav5000aww The water is draining out of the tub as it is filling up and seems to be flowing through the drain. Does the drain tube need to be elevated to prevent the water from free flowing from the washer tub, or is the drain valve defective?
Answer Hello Brian, The Drain does have to be elevated almost to the top back of unit. If the drain is not elevated or is shoved too far down into drain pipe it will cause a siphoning effect.
