Jerry for Model Number MAV6200AWW When my washer goes into spin cycle or drain cycle it makes a lot of noise. It empties o.k. but is noisy.
Answer Jerry, You're on track, your first check should be at the drain pump. Raise the washer top panel, using a putty knife to press in on the spring clips in the seam between the top panel and front panel. Remove the two hex head screws holding the front panel to the washer crossmemeber and remove the panel. Select the final spin and drain and start the washer. If the noise is not from the drain pump WP35-6465 then you'll need to check the thrust bearing assembly 12002213 for excess wear or distortion. If distorted or damaged, the clutch and gears won't engage properly and will make noise. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 16, 2013
