Edward for Model Number kitchenaid 15 inch undercounter ice maker, no model sticker Makes sucking noise for very prolonged time and stops producing ice. I fill reservoir with water and functions well as long as I keep refilling reservoir. Seems as though problem is due to not getting water into reservoir. Is there a valve to be replaced?
Answer Hello Edward. You will need to test for power to the water valve. If there is power there, and it is not bringing in water, you will need to replace the valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
