Tammy L. for Model Number Whirlpool ice machine Model#GI15NDXTS0 My machine stopped making ice. I was told to replace capacitor. Did that. It still sounds like it needs water to it. Does this sound like pump? I have checked water line and it is getting to the machine but water is not transferring inside. It sounds like it is trying but no water making it to the grids.
Answer Tanny, If there's no water in the reservoir or in the machine, the pump wouldn't be the problem. You should check or replace the fill valve WPW10217917 first. Water from the supply line enters the fill valve, and from the valve to the reservoir and pump, then the pump circulates the water to the dispenser arm and ice flows onto the evaporator to freeze into a slab that "drops" down onto the grid and is cut into cubes. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, July 15, 2016
