Joe for Model Number KUIS185JSS2 I can't get my ice machine to produce ice. The water seems to be running continuously but no ice is being produced. The inside of the unit seems to be very hot and I don't hear the compressor coming on. I have read the previous questions and it sounds similar to the problem that Shawn was having. Is there a way to test the pump assembly?
Answer Hello Joe. If the water is running on the inside of the machine and flowing across the freezer plate, the pump is working properly. If no water is running across the plate, you can remove the pump and see if voltage is coming to the pump. If so, and the pump does not run, you will need to replace the pump WP2217220. If the pump is working properly, you will need to check and see if the compressor is coming on. If not, you will need to test the compressor.
