Hello Robert, check that the condenser fan is running and the condenser coils are clean. If the ice maker fills the water tank correctly, the recirculation pump runs and the evap tray is covered in water flow, the compressor and condenser fan start-up and run, after a short time the evap tray will get cold enough to start forming a sheet of ice, if the ice maker seems to just run and run and all are working then likely there is a sealed system problem and while the tray is cold it is not cold enough, this would require a technician to check and diagnose further.
