Dick for Model Number 110.78432700 Kenmore Dryer Dryer did not heat. No glow looking through peep hole provided. Checked all the sensors with an ohmmeter and it suddenly worked for awhile. Then same problem that claim clear after checking sensors with an ohmmeter. Last time instead of using an ohmmeter, I tied a jumper strap across the terminals of the flame sensor first (intended to use that approach with all sensors, so as not to disturb them with the battery from the ohmmeter). Using the jumper gave me the glow I was looking for. Pulling the jumper off ignited the gas. (Of course it started working again without the jumper strap). Am I safe in thinking the problem is with a lack of continuity through the flame sensor that prevents the igniter from glowing?
Answer Hello Dick. It sounds like the flame sensor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 3, 2013
