Bob for Model Number lgr6636pwo Ignitor glows orange for a few seconds then I hear a click and the ignitor turns off. I did a continuity test on the ignitor and it failed, but when I reinstalled it, it worked fine, or at least seemed to. Is the ignitor "burning out" after few seconds or does this sound more like a coil problem? Or, something else?
Answer Hi Bob. Next to the ignitor is a flame senser, this will audibly click and the flame go out. Part # WP338906. The coils are part #279834.Check the coils 279834 and see if they test good. You can test the coils using a multi-meter MA-DM1. The two prong coil will read 1,000-1,300 ohms, and the three prong coil will read 1,300-1,400 ohms across prongs 1&2, and 500-600 ohms across prongs 1&3. Thank You. Read More...
