Mike for Model Number Whirlpool gas dryer When I turn on my whirlpool gas dryer the flame kicks on for about 5 mins then the flame shuts off. The igniter then kicks on and just glows for 5 seconds then shuts off for about 15 sec then back on for 5, this continues over and over. If I let the dryer sit and cool down the flame will come back on until it gets warm again. What part would fix this problem?
Answer Mike, You most likely have a weak set of coils on the gas valve, based on your post information. That's where you should start. If you have a "two coil valve like this 279923 you will need 279834 if you have a three coil valve you will need 279894 . Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
