Lisa for Model Number LGR8648LW0 It will help absolutely, if it resolves my issue! :)! 1) I am just wondering what made this different then when it was the coils? 2) Also although I didn't physically go behind the dryer yet, the flow comes out pretty good from the diverter, is that good enough to rule out a different cause? 3) Finally, is there a different part that could cause similar/same 'symptoms', based on my description? I just want to rule out any other possibilities, need the dryer up and running!
Answer Hello Lisa. Lets try this, unhook the vent from the dryer and try running a load and see what it does. If it works properly, then the vent is the issue. If there is still a problem, test the cycling thermostat. It should read closed on the large terminals and read resistance on the small terminals. If it is good, check the high limit thermostat W11050897 and see if it is bad. If it opens up, the dryer will not heat again until it closes. The coils should be ok since you replaced them already. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 1, 2011
