John E. for Model Number 106.74932401 My ice cube maker has started to overflow into the ice bucket. It still makes cubes but water overflows from the rear of the freezer into the ice bucket and from a place towards the front of the icemaker. I end up with a block of ice in the bucket and a big icicle towards the front, under the 2nd icemaker. I've replaced the water inlet valve and have replaced the filter I use to clean the water going to the icemaker so I know I have adequate water pressure to the device.
Answer Hello John, While it may seem backwards, you could still have low water pressure to the water valve. Since water pressure is all that closes the water valve, low water pressure will cause the valve to stay open too long and cause the overflow condition. If the water pressure is sufficient, I would replace the water valve WP2315576. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 25, 2014
