Hello Mike, and thank you for your question. It sounds like the ice maker has failed as raising the ice level arm does not stop ice production.

Hello JSkiff, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. This could be a water valve [WPW10279909] or ice maker [4317943] issue. There is no good way to figure out which it is without replacing at least one of those components.

Hello Mr. Munro, thank you for contacting APP, Turning the adjustment screw clockwise decreases the fill amount and counter-clockwise increases the fill amount. This screw will turn one full turn in either direction from the default fill level position. If you are adjusting the fill level you will need to turn that screw in increments, usually about 1/8 to 1/4 turn, and then test the fill amount by activating the icemaker's harvest cycle.

Hello Jim, thank you for contacting APP, The icemaker leaking and overfilling will be either an issue with the Icemaker 4317943 or the Water Valve W10408179. If the icemaker is immediately leaking after it fills then I would suspect the icemaker as the issue, but it could be either.

Greg for Model Number Amana SCD19JL (P7804508WL)

So my ice maker is as pictured in the BOM (part 19 of https://483cda5f439700fab03b-6195bc77e724f6265ff507b1dc015ddb.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/0028535618_4.gif ) you show for this model, where the icemaker attaches to the back of the inside of the refrigerator (the length of the icemaker is parallel to the back of the refrigerator, not the left side). Thus the water fill hole is on the back of the right side of the ice maker, not the right side of it, i.e. the fill tube for my old unit would come in perpendicular to the length of the ice maker on the back right side not parallel to it. The picture of the ice maker replacement part Replacement Icemaker D7824706Q / AP4135008, shows the fill hole for a fill tube coming in parallel to the length of the unit. So what is the best way to handle this?

Hello Greg, thank you for contacting APP, The Icemaker(IM) D7824706Q should be a direct 1:1 replacement for your original IM, the video attached to D7824706Q is for the front-to-back install instead of the side-to-side install, but these IMs are also known as Modular Icemakers due to the fact they were used across many different units and installed a few different ways, there shouldn't be any issues between the new IM and your unit with the fill tube placement.

Joe, The cycle time is based on the temperature which should be below 8-10°f. Ensure the temperature drops below these temperatures or the ice maker won't cycle. This could be a cooling issue instead of an ice maker issue.
