Ron for Model Number DRS246RBW Replaced icemaker. How long do we wait until it fills with water and makes ice? Placed wire bale down but no water immediately flowed to tray. Does it take a while? Thanks
Answer Hello Ron, The thermostat in the icemaker has to reach a temperature below 20°F. When this occurs, the icemaker will cycle and fill with water. It will then monitor the water temperature until it reaches a temperature of about 20°F, at which time the icemaker will cycle and drop ice.
