S Mark for Model Number KTRS20MWH10 Ice sometimes gets stuck on top of icemaker. The part number I have is 4317943. The refrigerator model number is KTRS20MWH10. Its a Kitchen Aid. Usually the ice maker cuts off and stops making ice when this happens. Recently, when the ice gets stuck in the icemaker, the water overfills and pours into the ice bin. The water will not shut off until the stuck ice is removed. What do I need to do? If need be, should I replace the icemaker and all the cables or just the icemaker? Should I also replace the shutoff valve on the back? Please let me know. Ice has been getting stuck for awhile, but this new problem of water pouring into the ice bin is new. Thanks.
Answer Hello Mark. Usually the ice gets stuck because the water valve is not letting in enough water to make large enough cubes to drop out of the rotating fingers. You will need to replace the water valve WP2315576 on the unit. Also, make sure the freezer is 0 to 5°. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 19, 2014
