Eugene C for Model Number FRT21H8CW2 I ordered and received a new icemaker kit p/n IM116000. Installed with a new inline filter over 48 hours ago but still no ice. After removing cover and manually turning motor gear it began to turn by itself and I could hear water coming in but the water runs right thru the unit into the tray but no ice and then motor gear stops until I manually turn it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Answer Eugene, You will want to check the temperature in the freezer to make sure that it is getting cold enough. If the icemaker tray is filling but not dumping then either the freezer temp is not getting below 15 degrees or the icemaker has a faulty thermostat on it. Read More...
