Seenski for Model Number MZD2766GEW Although my Matag refridgerator is a bit on the older side, it has been running great with the exception of my ice maker. After a busy 4th of July party and constant use, the ice maker is now not working. It froze over and my husband took it out, cleaned it and removed the frozen ice cubes that weren't released. He plugged it back in and we hear it going through its cycles but no water seems to be denspencing; thus no ice cubes. We check the water connection and all seems fine. We figure we are finally in need of a replacement icemaker and wanted your advise. Thanks!
Answer Hello Seenski. Check and make sure the fill tube coming to the icemaker is not froze over. If it is clear, you will need to test and see if the icemaker is sending power to the water valve when cycling. If there is no power to the water valve, you will need to order a new icemaker D7824706Q. If there is power to the water valve, but no water, you will need to order a new water valve 61005626. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
