Tom for Model Number Jenn Air JRSD246W My refrigerator is a side-by-side with icemaker at top of freezer side. The water is leaking slowly down the back wall and collecting in bottom of freezer area, then leaks out of bottom of freezer to the floor. It does not seem to be overflowing from icemaker , as I have taken it out and checked it for leaks. The inlet tube is clear. The only visible water and ice leaking is in the bottom ,on the back wall at circulation fan vent. The icemaker was replace 4-5 yrs ago, so is fairly new. I've never replaced water valve. The refrigerator is about 15+yrs old.
Answer Hi Tom. The Ice maker is part # D7824706Q. It calls for the ice maker to send 120vac to the water valve at the correct time (after dejecting the cubes) for 6-7 seconds. The water valve is part # 12001414. If It stays open, gets sediment in the valve and does not close, it is very common to have the issues you have. Thank you. Read More...
