Bob for Model Number drs2663bw My icemaker stopped working, would not fill with water so I replaced the water valve, still nothing so I replaced the icemaker itself, old one was corroded anyway, but still nothing. I have the arm in the down position but nothing is happening. Why?
Answer Hi Bob. The question is , do you have 120vac to the ice maker itself ? The lead wires has a black fuse in line that may be open. Unplug the lead to the ice maker and remove the ice maker. Remove the wire connector at the ice maker and test between the fuse with an ohm meter to see if it is open. make sure that you plug the connector in tight to the ice maker. You can replug the ice maker in place and remove the front cover. You can put your meter on 120vac and test to see if you have voltage between "L" (red lead) and "N" (Blk. lead). Is the bail arm correctly in place in the back of the head assembly, clicked in place? Make sure your fill tube is put back in correctly and is not frozen solid (remove and clear under the sink if needed). Thank you. Read More...
