Scott for Model Number Whirlpool 106.59202990 I just replaced the icemaker and the filter housing for my frig a couple of days ago. It has not produced any ice yet. Is there something else I need to do?
Answer Scott, You will want to check to make sure that the fill tube that comes into the icemaker is not frozen. If the fill tube is frozen then this will cause the unit to not make ice and you will want to clear the ice. If the fill tube is not frozen then using a insulated jumper wire you will want to put the jumper between the T and H and this will put the icemaker into a cycle. After you hear the second click remove the jumper wire. You will then need to check at the water valve to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to the valve when the icemaker fingers rotate to about the 11:30 position. Read More...
