David for Model Number AP2984633 Ok I saw that the coating on the icemaker was coming off so I decided to buy a new unit. Took the old one off and put the new one in and nothing happens. Usually the motor will run and start the process of rotating. I took it off and tried the old one and it didnt work either. I then took a voltmeter and tested the black and white wire in the fridge connection and it was 118.7. I then took the lead that connects to the icemaker and tested the black and white as well, same thing 118.7 volts. I dont understand how the motor on both are not working. Am I missing something???
Answer Hello David. You will need to let the icemaker get cold before it will cycle. This is normal. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 5, 2016
