Joel H for Model Number KSRS25QDWH03 Our ice maker was getting noisy - it sounded like it does when the ice bin is full, and the ice maker is waiting to dump cubes. We emptied the ice bin, and this didn't help. I then removed the ice maker (including disconnecting the electrical harness) and thawed out the ice maker. We then reinstalled the unit. It made ice, but was still noisy. We removed and thawed the unit again, and this time the cubes had an extra layer of ice connecting all the cubes, and water continued to run. I disconnected the ice maker and removed it, which solved the water problems. I described the situation to a customer service rep, and he indicated that replacing the unit should work, but that I should confirm this in this forum. The unit recommended was AP2984633. Will this work?
