Mike for Model Number ET1CHEXVB01 Ice maker makes ice but bail arm doesn't move as it should. Each time makes ice we need to push the arm down or it will not make ice. Is there a way to correct this? something is out of sync. This is what was happened before the problem started: ice maker arm was raised to turn off ice maker for a long time about 5-6 weeks. after turning ice maker back on by lowering the arm the ice maker would not make ice. I removed the ice maker and noticed the water coming into the tray had frozen solid right at entry point (in the little half inch square area before going into the tray) so, rinse it under cold water and melted the ice all was clear then re installed the ice maker. never removed the arm during this time , don't know where to go from here.
Answer Mike, This issue sounds like there may be ice around the bail arm that may be causing it to stick. You will want to pull the motor module off and check for ice behind where the bail arm goes in and at where it goes through the fill cup. Read More...
