Larry P. for Model Number msd2655hew I noticed water dripping from the tray front and back. I dismantled the icemaker and found that the plastic coating is pealing off. It appears that water was seeping around the coating and over the edge. I removed the excess and recoated with clear coat. Any issues that you see with this?
Answer Hi Larry. There are a few issues with the clear coat. The heater mold is heated for approx. 6-sec. each time to help eject the cubes. This will possibly come loose and then come out with the cubes. The clear coat is not at all "Food -Grade" and will certainly cause health issues. The ice maker part # is D7824706Q. Thank you.
