John Ashbrook for Model Number Maytag MTB2448DRW Regarding question about brown sediment in ice maker. The water tube seems to be aluminum rather than brass or plastic. The sediment/seepage seems to be coming out of one end....is there supposed to be an outlet on one end, or has the tube corroded through?
Answer John, There's the issue. No manufacturer uses metal fill tube grommets any more, or in the recent past(30 to 40 years).
