John B. for Model Number Jenn Air JRSD209 I replaced the ice maker in the Jenn Air JRSD209 refridgerator recently with your # AP 4135008 unit. Some of the ice cubes that it produces are not frozen completely (unfrozen water is seen inside the frozen outer shell of the cube). Is there a way to increase the freeze time of the cubes using the setting screws in the control module?
Answer Hello John. Test and make sure the temperature inside the freezer is between 0 and 5° for the best results in making ice. If it is too cold or not cold enough, it will cause the issues you are having. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
