Brian for Model Number psd265lges My icemaker stopped making ice. It won't even fill up with water. I replaced the secondary valve in the refrigerator and still nothing. I also thawed out the freezer to see if water was frozen in the line. The water still works fine so I know its not the primary valve and the icemaker just continues to rotate nonstop. Could the icemaker itself be my problem or possibly another electric problem?
Answer Hello Brian, The ice maker should stop at the end of the cycle, (as you know). The cycling thermostat or the motor module in the ice maker has to be at fault. If the thermostat is internally shorted, it will cause the ice maker D7824706Q to continually cycle. If the motor module has a set of contacts that are stuck, it will cause the same thing. In any case, due to parts availability, the complete ice maker assembly will require replacement. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, June 19, 2012
