Mike for Model Number ice maker for whirlpool ED22TEXHN00 When refilling the ice tray the ice maker doesn't shutoff the water soon enough and it spills all over the freezer. How do I detemine if it is the water supply valve or if I need to replace the entire ice maker? Thanks
Answer Hello Mike. You will need two people on this, but you will test for power during the cycle of the icemaker. When the power stops, so should the water. If water continues, replace the valve. If power is supplied until the unit overflows, replace the icemaker. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
