Charles Just installed anew icemaker replacement D7824706Q its not doing any thing do I need to wait any length of time for this to run.
Answer Hello Charles, The unit will take a period of time to run. The thermostat on the icemaker has to reach a certain temperature before it will cycle. Also depending on model if the light switch is open it will not cycle. You can jump start the icemaker by pulling the front cover off and putting a jumper wire into t and h terminals. This will kick start the icemaker to cycle but you may have to hold the light switch for it to work. Also make sure that you plugged the harness into the connector. Read More...
