Carolyn for Model Number part #D7824706Q Just received this icemaker for replacement. We have it installed but there is a small white plastic part :cup fill, it looks like the replacement icemaker already has oneattached. Do we need this cup fill? also, we have the water supply turned on but no water is going to icemaker. What is the problem?
Answer Carolyn, You would not need to use the second fill cup that came with the icemaker. As far as the unit not filling with water, it can take a couple of hours for the icemaker to get cold enough to cycle and put water in for ice. If after a couple of house the unit still has not put water in then you will want to check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If frozen then you will need to clear the ice and replace the water valve. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 6, 2013
