David for Model Number SXD27TL My ice maker has quit making ice I don't think the tray is filling since I no longer hear the water flow to the ice maker. the inlet solenoid has already been changed. will I need a replacement Ice maker? If so do you have instructions on how to change it out? Thanks David
Answer Hello David, If the water valve has already been changed and the water was turned back on, the icemaker (AP4135008) contacts have probably failed. There will be one screw at the bottom of the icemaker and two at the top. The wiring harness will unplug and it will be loose in your hand. Be aware when installing the new one that the fill tube has to be positioned in to fill cup or the water will go in the freezer compartment. Read More...
