Alan C for Model Number WED6200SW1 My dryer will sometimes not start right away, the timer runs, it shows as sensing, but it doesn't run. After several minutes (5-10) it will come on and run. Sometimes for just a few minutes sometimes for the whole cycle. This will happen even when the dryer is completely cool and hasn't been used in a day.
Answer Alan, With the unit doing this from cold state would say that this will most likely be a faulty control board. It would be recommended to access the tech sheet and see if there are any error codes showing. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, November 17, 2017
Answer Alan, The sensor wouldn't affect the start or run of the dryer, you may want to clean the sensor assembly using a clean rag and rubbing alcohol, to remove any residual softener deposits. Check and make sure you don't have the wrinkle release or wrinkle prevent option/cycle selected. If the problem persists, you'll need to check for a loose wire connection at the machine control board, check that the door is closing and latching properly and the door switch circuit is OK.
