Brad for Model Number KUIC15PLTS1 Ice maker works but Ice melt is not pumped out. So ice with water to the top, is it the drain assembly or the pump sensor that requires replacement?? or both?? Thanks I first thought it would be the pump but if the sensor was bad it might be that and would not the sensor shut down the ice making if the pump stopped??
Answer Brad, This unit would have one of 2 different types of drains. One would be gravity fed in which case the drain would be clogged up if the unit is not draining. The second would be a auxiliary drain pump that is under the unit. If this drain pump is bad then it will cause the unit to not drain and the pump would need to be replaced.
