Douglas for Model Number Whirlpool 10689583700 I ran the diagnostics and the unit blinked on the Fill Valve step and the reservoir was not filling. I replaced the Water Fill valve, turned the unit on and the reservoir is filling and stops at the top. The unit runs and seems to cycle as it should, i.e., runs water over the freeze plat, etc., but produces no ice. When I run diagnostics it still blinks on water fill valve, but the fill valve fills the reservoir. Any ideas? Thanks.
Answer Douglas, With the water running over the evaporator plate, check to see if the compressor is running. If the compressor is running but not freezing then there will be a sealed system issue that will require service. If the compressor is not running then check to see if there is power to the compressor and if there is then replace the overload and relay.
