Tony for Model Number wfw9151ywoo Hello, my whirlpool duet washer shows fault code F3 E2. according to the tech sheet, either the temperature sensor, wiring harness to sensor, or the heating element is at fault. I tested the sensor and the reading is 10.57kohms. I did not see a heater on this model. After clearing the code, the washer will wash, pump and water out. as soon as the tub starts to spin, the code reappears. what could be the fault? Thank in advance Tony.
Answer Tony, Based on tech sheet not all models have heater in which case the thermistor will send a message to the control board to turn hot or cold water on based on the resistance. With the thermistor testing at 10.57K ohms then it checks ok. You will want to check the connector that plugs into the thermistor for corrosion and if necessary clean with electrical contact cleaner. Also do a continuity test of the wire harness between the main board and the thermistor to make sure that the harness is good. If all checks ok then either the control board is most likely the issue, not reading the thermistor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 29, 2014
