Hello Arthur. You can not test the sensor for continuity. It is tested for ohms. At room temp it should be around 10K ohms. It sounds like the sensor is not the issue. Check the element. If it is good, and the wiring is good, replace the board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
