Jackie for Model Number Ghw9250ml1 Washer keeps displaying f5 on front of washer.Called appliance pros they said it was water temp sensor. How would I get to that part to repair it?
Answer Hello Jackie, To access the water temperature sensor, unplug unit. Take the lower access panel off the front of the unit. On the lower front part of tub there is the heater. On the heater there is a black box with a wire connected to it. This is the sensor. You want to check the wiring to the heater and sensor to make sure that they are good. Also check the continuity of the heater to make sure that it is not defective. If you do not have continuity then the heater WPW10426377 is bad and would need to be replaced. If it checks good then you would need to replace the temperature sensor WPW10467289. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
