Steve for Model Number GBS277PDS1 My wife did a self clean on the oven, the next day she started the oven on bake and as always it started @ 350°, when she tried to increase the temperature, it goes down in degrees instead of up. Pressing either the up arrow or down the temperature only goes down even when pressing the up arrow, the only way to get it back is to press the off button then the bake button to get it back to 350°. I tried turning off the circuit breaker to see if that would reset the problem. When I flipped the breaker back on there was a "PF" on the display. When I pushed the bake button it showed 350° again, tried to increase temperature but problem still exists. Any ideas? Thanks, Steve
Answer Hello Steve, The PF is a power failure code so it will not matter since the power was dis-continued when the breaker was turned off. The other is a concern. It sounds like the touchpad or cable has shorted. This issue could be in the control, but considering the failure description, the issue is most likely the touchpad. Since these have been discontinued by the manufacturer with no satisfactory substitution, you can do a search online to see if you can locate a business that can rebuild you existing part.
